How can I join PTO?
Membership dues are $10 per building, per family, each year. Additional monetary donations are always welcome!
What if I can only donate funds and not volunteer hours (or vice versa)?
We know that families have different schedules, responsibilities, and ways they’re able to support our school. If volunteering your time isn’t possible right now, that’s absolutely okay! A financial contribution to PTO is still a meaningful way to make a difference. Your donation helps fund school events, student activities, teacher support, and special experiences for our kids. Whether you can give your time, your talents, or simply make a financial contribution, every form of support matters. There is no expectation that every family volunteer. We’re grateful for whatever you’re able to give!
Why am I not receiving emails to sign up for volunteer opportunities?
Once you join PTO, you are entered into our PTO database for the current school year. This gives you access to volunteering opportunities at a variety of PTO functions. If you are not receiving PTO emails, please check your junk/spam folders. If you find that you are still in the dark, please reach out to us by email.
Where do PTO funds go?
Kenston PTO uses your membership dues and generous donations to sponsor and support programs and activities that enhance the lives of students, teachers and our community.
How do I go about applying for a leadership role on the PTO for my child's school?
Please reach out to us via email. We are always looking for new faces on our teams.
What is PTO Council?
PTO Council is the governing body that oversees the Timmons Elementary PTO, Kenston Middle School PTO, and Kenston High School PTO. Council meets monthly with Dr. Willingham, the superintendent, to update the district on our goals, fundraising targets and accomplishments.
I work during the day and cannot attend PTO meetings. May I still be a member?
Of course! We recognize that not all parents can attend monthly meetings during the day. Your donations go a long way towards us reaching our goals. We do have evening events including PTO Tailgate, After Prom, Family Fun Night, Book Bash and more that always need volunteers. Once you join, we can find the right fit for you.
